Your bicycle or e-bike is insured worldwide with Karl, so it's also covered during extended travels or weekend trips. You should use your bicycle or e-bike and enjoy it without worrying about what happens if... In addition, we will reimburse you for the costs of a rental bicycle or e-bike so you can continue your journey or get back home or to your starting point. A maximum of 10% of the insurance sum is available for this purpose. We will cover your proven costs for a maximum of 14 days and no more than EUR 25,- per day.

What's important in the event of a claim: In order to process a theft claim for you, we need a police theft report and a report to us within 72 hours. If your bicycle or e-bike is stolen abroad, it can be difficult to get a police report. Therefore, if this is not possible or does not seem sensible, it is sufficient to report the theft to us by email and then possibly follow up with the theft report once you are back home. If you claim costs for the return/continuation of your journey, you must provide us with the incurred costs by invoice or other receipts so that we can reimburse you.
