In the event of a claim, we quickly organize a new bike for you by dealing directly with our Karl partners, i.e., the dealer where you bought your bicycle or e-bike. We will always try to get you the same or an equivalent bicycle or e-bike (whether it is equivalent is for you to decide in case of doubt). However, you can also use the credit that you have from the claim at our Karl partner for a new, higher-quality bicycle or e-bike. You would then have to pay the difference on the higher price yourself and we would cover the rest.

Only in absolute exceptional situations—for example, because there is no corresponding bicycle or e-bike available—do we pay out the credit to you. We at Karl want you to be back in the saddle quickly, and therefore the money from the insurance should be used for a new bicycle.
