How does the
claims process work

File a Claim Now
  1. 1. Incident

    In case of theft or vandalism, we ask you to go directly to the police. If the police report takes longer, still file a claim with us.

  2. 2. Claim Report

    In your Karl login on our website. The claim should be filed within 72 hours of becoming aware of the damage.

  3. 3. Claim Processing

    Our system has recorded your report and we are processing it. If you've uploaded photos documenting your damage in your upload, we're even faster. This usually only takes a few hours.

  4. 4. Claim Approval

    We'll inform you via email or phone about your approval. Your compensation limit is based on your current insurance amount.

  5. 5. Bike Dealer

    You can go to the bike dealer and choose a new bike or have it repaired. In case of a total loss, you'll get the same model or you can pay extra for a higher-end model.

  6. 6. Claim Payment

    If the dealer is a partner of ours, we'll handle the payment directly with them. If you've paid in advance, we'll transfer the claim amount to you.
