Our principle is: You should act as if you were not insured. We don't have strict rules about where and how you must secure your bicycle or E-Bike (except that you use a lock of category "ABUS 6" or higher, or an equivalent lock from another brand). You can attach your bicycle or E-Bike to a bike rack, a fence, or another fixed object. Simply locking the bicycle or E-Bike with itself might sometimes not be enough. However, there's no fixed rule here... just use your judgment. As long as you feel good about how you leave your bicycle or E-Bike, nothing can go wrong on the insurance side.
